Strengths Based Living
Strengths Based Living
Do you find there is very little positivity in your life?
Do you find you have poor relationships with others?
Do you procrastinate on your goals?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then Strengths Based Living is a method that can bring huge benefits in wellbeing to your life through a tool set and outlook to see things differently.
Strengths based living supports a focus towards what is working, what is going well and what strengths you already have to lean upon when times get tough. This session focusses on the skills, strengths and abilities you bring to life and provides insight on how to utilise your strengths to support you to thrive.
From the session you will:
- Create a strengths profile including 5 signature strengths
- Practice strengths based problem solving
- Develop your own action plan to deal with what is not working.
- Leave with a more positive outlook on your own abilities to invoke change.
The only criteria for taking this session is openness to change.
Strengths Based Living is a 60-90 min one to one coaching session with health coach Chris Garvey.
FAQ:
What is the time commitment? There is a pre session task which will take around 15 minutes and the coaching session lasts around 60-90 minutes.
What happens afterwards? Most clients say thank you and go on to practice their new skills and often reach out to follow up in a months time (optional). Some enjoy the session so much they wish to keep going to explore the other mental game plan sessions of, values, meaning and goal planning.
Is strengths based living just positive thinking? This is a good question and the answer is no. Positive thinking is a pollyannaish sunshine and rainbows approach whilst strengths based living acknowledges what is not working or bringing suffering and provides a solution to move forward.
